Disaster Relief: Australia Fires
- by MIN READSince July, Australia has been ravaged by the worst wildfires it has seen in decades. More than 12 million acres of land have burned since the blaze began, damaging over 2,000 homes and taking the lives of 24 people.
As the fires continue to burn, Hand of Hope, Joyce Meyer Ministries World Missions, is partnering with several organizations in Australia to bring immediate relief.
Through our partnerships with Hillsong Church and Citipointe Church, we are assisting volunteer firefighters across the country and offering critical support to families directly affected by the fires.
We have also joined together with Samaritan’s Purse to assist those whose homes have been destroyed. Our teams are clearing debris, cutting up and removing fallen trees and branches, and sifting through the ashes to locate important personal items.
We are also distributing Fire Recovery Kits, which include items such as shovels, rakes, hammers, gloves, face masks and overalls.
Thank you for your incredible support that is saving lives, bringing relief and sharing Christ’s love to people affected by the ongoing fires in Australia.
Please continue to pray for all these precious people who are being impacted and for the safety of the responders who are risking their lives to offer assistance.
