Stories of People You are Helping:

Meg

Meg shares, “I was a mess and started attending church with a friend at age sixteen when I became a born-again believer. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before I was on the wrong path again and ended up in prison.” It was during her prison stay that Meg discovered Joyce and her books. She also asked her church family at home to send her a copy of The Everyday Life Bible. Meg says that reading God’s Word helped her to realize that she is deserving of happiness and peace, no matter what she has done in the past. “Jesus does actually love ME.” Now out of prison, she says, “The devil has had a field day in my life for a long time—but no more. My life is getting better and better each day.” Meg just received the great news that the state of Florida is reinstating her RN license and soon her son will be back with her too. “My dream is to serve in prison ministry one day and eventually in other countries to provide nursing care to those in need and spread the Word. I have a lot of work left to do, but thanks to… the fact that you’re just an everyday person, I know that Jesus will even use someone like me.”

Vanda

Vanda had been affected for many days by a severe and complicated type of migraine that mimicked the symptoms of a stroke. She had to be hospitalized, but the debilitating pain continued even after she was released to go home. On the twenty-seventh day of this pain, as she was watching the Enjoying Everyday Life program on television, Vanda heard Joyce say that if you have migraines, you will be healed and she began to pray over those affected. Immediately, Vanda got on her knees and agreed with Joyce in prayer. She said, “From that moment on, the headaches were gone, in Jesus’ name!”

Neisha

Several years ago, Neisha went through some major changes in her life that left her frightened and with much turbulence around her. During that time, she found the book Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits and said that it had many of the answers she had been searching for. “Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I soaked it all in like a sponge.” However, it wasn’t until 2013 that Neisha began to actually apply the principles found in Joyce's book. “I thought, ‘If Joyce can do it, so can I.’” She messaged a personal trainer and had a consultation with them at a time when her health was declining and she was constantly feeling miserable. Still, she was afraid that losing weight was something she couldn't do. She says, “I remember thinking, Lord, this is a lot of money to pay for exercise and I’m not sure I can do this.” But on the wall of the gym, there was an encouraging scripture that gave her the push she needed to go forward. Beginning around Thanksgiving, quite a difficult time to begin a weight loss journey, Neisha forged ahead. There was even a tough moment of temptation that she proudly got past when she remembered that she was made in God's image and was absolutely not a slave to food. “My transformation began with Joyce’s book. God used it and many of her teachings to heal me from the inside, out. Now I know I can do all things through Christ!” Neisha has lost over 100 pounds and says that she cannot express in mere words the difference in her life.
