2011:  A 6.3 earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand. Hand of Hope worked with two organizations in the area, Parachute and Life Church in Auckland, New Zealand to provide relief to those in areas impacted by the earthquake.  Hand of Hope provided assistance with hospital visits, temporary living arrangements and relief shelters for thousands who were moving to Auckland because they've been displaced by the earthquake.  We also provided bottled water as 80% of Christchurch was without suitable drinking water.
