I have had the privilege of visiting Hand of Hope children’s homes around the world to see first-hand the care being provided to the precious children who live in them. I visited one of our homes in Izzathnagar, India where you are helping care for 22 children, ages 2 to 15.
The youngest at the home absolutely captured my heart. His name is Dominique, but everyone calls him Cherry. Pastor Ashok, who runs the home, says Cherry was found abandoned in front of a local Hindu temple. His leg was broken and at two years old he was left all alone. People in the community knew about our children’s home so they brought little Cherry there to be cared for. His leg is now completely healed and he is already vibrant and thriving, just like all of the other children.
Pastor Ashok cares tirelessly for these abandoned children; he knows what they are going through because he once lived in an orphanage himself. God used his circumstances to lead him to become a Pastor and later create a home for other abandoned children. We are honored to partner with Pastor Ashok to provide children a safe place to live, basic education, nutritious meals, and the love of Christ. Many of the children have high aspirations to become doctors, scientists, teachers, engineers and even an airline pilot. They said they want to get good jobs when they grow up so they can help even more kids.
I am amazed at how God has moved in the lives of these children. Thank you so much for helping us reach children like Cherry all around the world.
