Meet Sawnd. She lives in the bush of Tanzania along with the rest of her family. She is part of the Datooga people. They are considered one of the most unreached people groups in the world.
Rampant alcoholism, polygamy, and female circumcision have plagued these people for generations. This is her reality.
But God is working to bring healing and hope to the lives of the Datooga people.
And it all started with water.
As is the case in many places like this in the world, water is a scarce resource. After the local well ran dry, Hand of Hope stepped in to drill two
new wells and retap the existing well. This provided an opportunity to show the Datooga people the power and love of God. But it didn’t stop there. We also worked
with local missionaries to build a school building and start a feeding program for the children.
Sawnd’s life has been changed forever. Now, instead of fearing what might happen in her future, she dreams of becoming a doctor or a nurse so that she can provide
medical care to her village, something that currently is only available several hours away from her home.
When you give a financial gift to Hand of Hope you are becoming the catalyst for life change for people just like Sawnd.
