Africa
For Dave and Joyce, the ride began in January,
where they kicked off what would be a year
of “firsts” concerning their overseas travels. They
launched their 2005 conference schedule in Johannesburg,
South Africa, where 40,000 people from
nations such as Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Swaziland,
Kenya, and Zambia attended the three-day
event at Rhema Church.
Dave and Joyce then spent a day hosting a special
leadership conference in the nation of Swaziland,
investing in the lives of over 800 leaders, including
pastors, ministry leaders and government
officials.
They also had the opportunity to meet many of
the precious boys and girls at new Care Point Centers
in Swaziland, a country overwhelmed by the
AIDS virus. These Care Point Centers were recently
established in partnership with Children’s Cup International
to provide food and medicine to children
fighting disease and starvation.
Germany
Since 2002 we have watched our Enjoying Everyday
Life telecast gain momentum in Germany
and develop a faithful audience—an audience that
came out in force to attend Joyce’s first-ever conference
there this past September.
It all began with an incredible two-day leadership
conference in Düsseldorf. More than 3,500
ministers, pastors and city leaders received Joyce
with excitement and openly showed their gratitude
for her coming.
Our second stop in Germany was the city of
Karlsruhe. There we held a two-day conference
at a beautiful church named Missionswerk. It was
our first open conference in Germany, and it exceeded
all of our expectations.
More than 4,000 showed up for one of the services
with the crowd spilling over into multiple
overflow rooms. Many who were unsaved also
came, and we praise God that hundreds gave their
lives to Christ—something almost unheard of in
Germany!
Brazil
Joyce Meyer Ministries has been broadcasting
our Enjoying Everyday Life program to the nation of
Brazil in the Portuguese language for the past five
years. In November 2005 we invested in this nation
through a conference that touched the lives of multiplied
thousands. |
Buses brought people from as far as one thousand
miles away to attend the conference. Over the
course of three days, tens of thousands filed into
Brazil’s 70,000-seat Expo Center to receive practical
teaching by Joyce on how to enjoy their everyday
life.
While in Brazil, Dave and Joyce also took the
opportunity to visit the many outreaches made
possible by our friends and partners.

For over a year we have partnered with Jeff and
Becky Hrubik and Project AmaZon (also known as
PAZ) to plant new churches in the Amazon Basin.
With your generous support, Joyce Meyer Ministries
has built the first evangelical church in Urucurituba,
a village located on the Amazon River.
They held their first service in the new building
this past November.
“We were meeting under the trees, and the heart
of the people was to one day have a church building,”
said Pastor Rivaldo Dias de Sousa. “It touches
us that God touched the hearts of people on the
other side of the world to build us a church. From
the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!”
We also fully support the complete operation
of a medical boat that travels to villages along the
Amazon, offering free medical and dental care. Josivana
de Jesus Laurindo, age thirty, brought his
eight-year-old daughter and five-year-old son,
who were both in a lot of dental pain. “I am so
happy,” Josivana said. “If I had to wait until I had
money, my children would have waited for months
before I could take them to a dentist.”
In addition, we have helped thousands experience
better health by sponsoring the installation
of new water filters. These highly-effective filters
enable them to drink water that is 96 percent pure,
protecting them from bacterial infections and water-
borne diseases.
Friends and partners, thank you for making
these vital outreaches in the Amazon Basin possible.
To these precious people, you are a miracle
from God…an answer to their prayers for fresh
water, medical assistance, spiritual growth, and a
better life. On behalf of all of your grateful friends
in the Amazon Basin…God bless you, and thank
you for making a difference. |

“God has strategically placed Joyce Meyer
Ministries in a time in history that is difficult
to grasp. The change that is taking place in
people’s lives of every race, gender and culture
is simply astonishing.
I may not know what God has planned for
2006, but if it’s anything like 2005, we better
hang on tight…because it will be a wild and
rewarding ride!”
