Testimony: Linda H. Dardanelle, AR
"I was dying of a terminal liver disease... Now I feel totally healed!"
After visiting five different doctors during 2005, I was diagnosed with terminal liver disease and a malignant melanoma gamma cancer last March. The doctor told me I was going to die. He also told me I would need a doctor with good bedside manner, leaving me to think I’d be suffering with the disease. My husband was with me when I received the fatal news.
As a forty-nine-year-old wife, mother of four children and grandmother of two, God has richly blessed my life. These blessings flashed before my eyes that day, and I knew I needed to pray, have hands laid on me, and believe like never before. So I set out to do just that.
I began the journey by calling your ministry’s prayer line. The lady who answered my phone call was absolutely wonderful. Although I did not get her name, I will pray God’s blessings on her just the same. She prayed and spoke with me for a long while and told me before hanging up that I needed to focus on the outcome and not the circumstances. After I prayed I went to the Catholic church and received the anointing of oil. I prayed constantly. I also listened to a CD called Be Strong and Courageous that I originally heard at one of your conferences in Little Rock. Then I got the booklet of healing scriptures that your ministry sent me some time back, and I meditated on them day and night.
I started to sense God’s healing one day, and although it was not instant, the healing happened over a period of two to four weeks. Although I’m unable to describe the process, I just knew that I was being healed. I stood on scriptures such as “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” and “Greater is He that is in me.” Then I meditated on scriptures from the pamphlet the ministry sent.
In the meantime I was referred to a liver specialist, who drew more blood and confirmed the initial reports. I was to return to the specialist once I received the test results.
In the midst of all this, I kept diligently seeking God and listening to some of your old teaching tapes. One afternoon on my way home from work, I listened to Worship Wins the War. You talked about putting hope in God and waiting expectantly. You also said to enjoy life through our problems by casting our cares on God, and allowing Him to fix them while we go on enjoying life. I’ve been doing that ever since. Coworkers and others would say to me, “Here you are with these medical problems, and you’re walking around like nothing’s wrong.” I even noticed I was acting that way! Often I’d be walking around, working like normal, and suddenly I’d recall the report from the doctor and wonder, How can I not be worried? Then I’d catch myself doubting, and I’d recall the scripture that says we have to have faith without wavering.
When I returned to the doctor, he told me I had, in fact, had hepatitis B and C. However, while he could not explain the outcome, I no longer had either disease and my liver wasn’t even affected by the previous diseases. He concluded our visit saying the only ways to get rid of those diseases is by massive medical treatment and reproduction of the liver itself. Praise God!
Had my husband not been in the doctor’s office with me and heard I was dying of a terminal liver disease, I may question this outcome even more. Hopefully this will also encourage my husband.
Now I feel totally healed and I thank God for Joyce Meyer Ministries! Thank you and your ministry for all that you do. I love all of you and hope to meet you one day!
