Matt Redman

Matt Redman is a Christian worship leader and songwriter, based near Brighton, England. Some of his songs include "The Heart of Worship," "Blessed Be Your Name," "Better Is One Day" and "You Never Let Go."

Having worked as a full-time lead worshipper from the age of nineteen, Matt has traveled to such places as South Africa, India, Australia and the United Arab Emirates for worship gatherings and training events.

Locally, Matt is part of The Point in West Sussex, a church he and his family were involved with planting in September 2004. Over the last few years, Matt has become increasingly involved with Passion, a college movement in the U.S. with worship right at its center.

Matt's albums, including Beautiful News and Blessed Be Your Name, are a joint partnership between Sixsteps Records/EMI CMG in the U.S. and Survivor Records in the UK.

His most recent release is We Shall Not Be Shaken, which centers around the theme of God's faithfulness in a shifting and changing world.

"I've been trying to write songs of 'stability'—truths that we need to sing about in times of uncertainty." Matt says.

"Life can seem very shaky—and recently there's been this big economic downturn which has added to the stress of so many people's everyday lives. But we worship a God who is unshakeable. Everything else may change, but He remains the same..."

In addition, Matt has authored several books on Christian worship, including The Unquenchable Worshipper, Facedown, and Blessed Be Your Name.
