Our conferences couldnt happen without the faithful service of our volunteers. If you are interested in serving as an usher, we would love to hear from you and schedule you at one, or many, of our upcoming U.S conferences. For information about volunteering at one of Joyce's international events, click here.
Each weekend consists of four, and in various cities three or five, separate power-packed sessions. The first session will be Thursday night at 7 pm, Friday's sessions will be at 10 am and 7 pm, and Saturday at 10 am and 2 pm (if there is an afternoon session). The following is a list of benefits and requirements for serving as an usher.
Benefits:
- Each volunteer will be given two reserved seats for each session--one for you and a guest.
- Each volunteer will receive a $50 gift certificate to purchase Joyce Meyer Ministries resources before leaving the conference.
Requirements:
- You must volunteer for every session.
- You are required to attend a training session on Thursday morning of the conference from 10 am until noon.
- You will need to arrive at the conference 1½ hours before each session.
- You must be willing and able to serve wherever you are needed and positioned. We are not able to accommodate requests for specific locations to serve.
- You must be able to be on your feet, do a lot of walking and climb stairs. Your responsibilities will include assisting people with seating, collecting the offerings, and passing out any handouts or brochures during the sessions.
- The dress code is business casual. No jeans, denim material, tennis shoes or sneakers, please.
If you are interested in volunteering as an usher please contact us by email at volunteer@joycemeyer.org or call 1-800-707-7877 ext. 3516. Should you reach our voice mail, please leave your name, address, telephone number and email address. If all volunteer positions are filled, individuals not needed will be notified.
Approximately two weeks before the conference, those accepted to volunteer will receive a confirmation letter in the mail, including instructions about the training session and other important information.
