Dream Center and Joyce Meyer Ministries Send Kids Back to School with Style

ST. LOUIS (8/18/05) – On Friday, August 19 the St. Louis Dream Center and Joyce Meyer Ministries will be joined by Albert Pujols and Reggie Sanders to send kids back to school with style.

From 11am - 7pm, Fairgrounds Park will be swarming with thousands of kids of all ages, as they participate in free sports clinics, amusement rides, break dancing, sporting events, music giveaways, food giveaways, and free haircuts. A select number of kids will have the opportunity to play ball with Pujols and Sanders in a scrimmage game. Congressman Lacy Clay, Joyce Meyer, and 100.3 The Beat’s Hypeman D. Stone will also be present. The entire event is free.

There will also be appearances by rapper Mynista, Team Impact, professional jump rope master Peter Nestler, and the world famous monster truck, Bigfoot.

At 7pm, 4,000 children will be given a brand new backpack so they can go back to school with style.

The goal of the St. Louis Dream Center is to help people in the urban community. They provide over 45,000 meals to the hungry, visit over 15,000 elderly and nursing home patients, and make over 65,000 visits to area families every year. The Dream Center also brings food and clothing to the homeless and offers hope, encouragement, and a way out to hundreds of prostitutes.
