Job Title: Database Administrator - Software Development
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
Responsible for all activities related to the administration of SQL server databases, which includes monitoring database performance, designing solutions for the SQL server database environment and mentoring the SQL developer team.
Job Description
  • Monitor, manage and maintain all SQL databases to ensure maximum uptime and performance
  • Design complex or nonroutine solutions for the SQL server database environments
  • Provide technical leadership role over SQL server environments
  • Mentor SQL developers in SQL server best practices
  • Research to stay abreast of current technology that will keep the SQL databases and developers operating efficiently and effectively
  • Provide assistance to Application Development team members with issues requiring database knowledge
  • Carry a ministry cell phone and be prepared to receive calls 24/7 
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-4 years technical field experience
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2000 required and SQL Server 2005 preferred
  • Ability to design, develop and maintain SQL server databases
  • Knowledge of SQL server clustering preferred
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have good problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
